Vinepress Training Center

Vinepress Training Center offers a comprehensive CNA program, providing students with a structured curriculum and practical skills necessary for a career in healthcare. To begin, prospective students are required to meet with an admission representative, who assesses their career goals and recommends suitable certificate programs. This personalized approach ensures that students are well-informed about the available options and can make informed decisions.

The CNA admission requirements are straightforward. Applicants must submit an admission application and undergo a meeting with an admission counselor before the start of classes. The enrollment window opens on the first Monday of each month and closes on the Friday of the same week or by the last day before classroom instruction begins, whichever comes first.

For Nurse Aide training, candidates must be at least 18 years old and provide proof of secondary education, either a high school diploma or GED certificate. Alternatively, passing the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test is accepted as eligibility for the training program. The passing score for this test is 200 verbal and 210 quantitative skills out of 500. Additionally, candidates must undergo Nurse Aide Registry (NAR) verification before enrollment to ensure they are not listed as unemployable.

The CNA program at Vinepress Training Center covers essential subjects in various courses. The “Introduction into Long Term Care” course focuses on providing a solid foundation for nurse aides, including effective communication with geriatric residents and an understanding of relevant theories. “Personal Care Skills” delves into the practical aspects of resident care, covering bathing, grooming, and assistance with daily living activities.

“BASIC NURSING SKILLS” emphasizes vital signs, meal assistance, infection control, and emergency procedures. “Restorative Services” focuses on maintaining and enhancing residents’ mobility and independence. The “Mental Health & Social Services Needs” course addresses psychosocial aspects, including memory loss and handling residents with anger or demands. “Social Skills” covers conflict resolution and technology use in healthcare.

The program includes a “Clinical Practice” component, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in a nursing home under instructor supervision. This practical exposure helps students apply and refine the skills acquired throughout the program.

Vinepress Training Center’s CNA program stands out for its thorough curriculum, hands-on clinical practice, and personalized admissions process. Prospective students can expect a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in the field of healthcare.
